Hello,
Family ID (online registration) is now open for the fall sports season. Please do not wait to register- it’s to your advantage to register early. The nurse is the only person to clear students to participate in athletics.
The nurses are only in on the following dates: (August 10th, August 21st, and August 22nd) this summer. The nurses will be in from 8:30am to 2:00pm. There is no need to see the nurse unless you need to speak to her about a specific question or drop off medication for your child. Physical forms should be uploaded to FamilyID or you can personally hand in the medical form to the nurse.
Please check the status of your child's physical. Students need a valid physical to participate in athletics. If your child needs a physical please contact your physician as soon as possible or your child can get a physical when the school doctor is in on August 21st. You need to bring in the permission slip to see the school doctor and give it to the nurse and arrive by 9:00am. The nurse needs needs to take your child's vital signs prior to the doctor arriving. The doctor will be in at 9:45am.
After August 22nd the nurses are not in until school starts and your child will not get cleared to play a sport. Please register now for FamilyID.
There is a New York State practice requirement to participate in a game. All sports require 6 practices with the exception of football, it’s 10 practices.
Currently here are how many students registered for each team (grades 9-12) but this does not mean they are cleared to play because a lot of students still need to bring in their physical form:
football 22
boys volleyball 17
girls swimming 2
girls volleyball 12
girls tennis 9
cheerleading 8
boys soccer 20
cross country 9
