Thank you to Assemblyman Ra for coming to speak to our 7th grade students to discuss their “Slow Down Campaign.” A very informative session on how to affect change at the local level.

What great performances by our students in grades 7-12 at our Winter Concert this evening. Thank you to everyone that came out to support our students.

Congratulations to Chance Mingo, a member of the girls varsity basketball team for being named by Newsday as one of the top 100 basketball players in Nassau County. Newsday wrote that Chance is a three-year varsity player who is dangerous from beyond the arc and averaged 13 points per game last season, including a 25-point game against Wheatley.

The Secondary School raised $1,050 this year and donated to our veterans through the Northport VA Medical Center’s Hero Hunger Help Project. Thank you to everyone that donated.

Congratulations to the following fall athletic teams at the secondary school for being recognized as New York State Scholar Athlete teams: Girls Varsity Volleyball Girls Varsity Tennis Girls Varsity Soccer Girls Varsity Swimming Girls Varsity Cross Country Boys Varsity Volleyball To be recognized as a New York State Scholar Athlete Team 75% percent of the roster had to have a grade point average of 90% or higher. Well Done- Congratulations!!!!

A few of our senior students visited the 7th Grade Student Success course to discuss how they set personal goals and the work ethic needed to be successful.

Come support the secondary school band and varsity cheerleading team as they will be performing at the mens basketball game at Hofstra University on Wednesday, January 11th at 7:00pm. To reserve your ticket ($20 per ticket; cash only and exact change) to the game tickets can be purchased through the athletic office by Monday, December 19th. Congratulations to Victoria Guerrier, Gloria Guerrier, and Ashlee Boodoo for being coca-Cola Scholarship semi-finalists. They were one of 1,557 selected out of over 91,000 applicants. What an incredible honor.
