Jordan Dejesus was the county champion in the 55-meter dash and was second place in the 300-meter run earning all-county honors. Victoria Guerrier was county champion in the 600-meter run. Gloria Guerrier earned all-county honors with a third-place finish in the 600-meter run. Damilola Babalola earned all-county honors with a second-place finish in the 55 hurdles. The boys 4x200 relay of Jordan Dejesus Derek Chinchilla, Dominick Ferguson, and Damilola Babilola came in second place, earning all-county honors. Altogether - an all-county honors total of 6 athletes!

Yesterday evening, a New York State Supreme Court judge issued a ruling that the current statewide mandate ordering students and staff to wear masks in schools is unconstitutional and cannot be enforced.
Following this decision, the New York State Education Department notified all school districts throughout the state that the Department of Health will appeal the decision, and a stay will be issued that will restore the mask rule. Therefore, the SED has advised all districts that schools must continue to follow the mask rule.
This morning the Department of Health issued a statement to school districts supporting the New York State Education Department’s position on continued making in schools.
I will keep you updated on the legal appeal process as this situation develops.
