Some of our fabulous students and staff @CornwellAveES and @WHGWashington. They are establishing routines, building relationships, and producing mental sweat! #RamCulture

Everyday tasks—opening an email attachment, following a link in a text message, making an online purchase—can open you up to online criminals who want to harm your systems or steal from you. Preventing internet-enabled crimes and cyber intrusions requires each of us to be aware.

The beauty of allowing students to take control of their learning. They can own the learning as they decide how, what, where, with whom, and why. Pictured below is our AP Environmental class with @msz_science. @wh_secondary #RamCulture

Never forget.

Thank you to the families who participated in Back to School Nights @WHGWashington and @WHChestnut. For more information on BTSN and other happenings this week please visit: https://www.smore.com/kb3z8 for the Superintendent’s Weekly Update. #RamCulture

Back to School Night @WHChestnut begins at 6 pm for ENL parents and for all at 6:30 pm
Back-to-School-Night is a time for families to get to know their child’s teacher and learn more about the school’s program. Not only can you meet your child’s classroom teacher, but also you can meet special area teachers and support staff. Below are some questions you may want to ask when attending BTSN.
• In what ways will my child’s learning be connected to the real world?
• How will my child be assessed?
• To what extent will my child be setting their own goals?
• How important is student engagement in this class/school?
• What skills and mind-set should my child be developing in this class? During this school year?
• What is our school’s approach to ensuring a healthy and supportive environment for children?
• How much time will my child spend preparing for and taking standardized tests? (https://wapo.st/3BkFSSk)

Hello,
The fall season officially began already for grades 9-12 for the fall season for athletics but it’s not late to join a team. All teams ( with the exception of volleyball) are still looking for players to join. You need to sign up as soon as possible because games begin this week. Football requires ten practices to be eligible to participate in a game and all sports require six practices.
If you have not signed up already please go to the district website ( www.whufsd.com) and look at the athletics homepage and the directions for FamilyID will tell you the step by step directions on how to sign up.
There are a number of students who signed up already for athletics through FamilyID but have not completed the registration process. For these families please check your email or your phone messages because the nurse or myself have informed you what is missing for your child to start practice this week.
FamilyID for the fall season will be closing by next week. Please register for the fall season as soon as possible. Any questions please email me at cmistretta@whufsd.com. Thank you.
