
AP Chemistry students performing experiments with young 5th grade scientists at George Washington Elementary School today. The stations included a Volcano in a Bottle, Film Canisters Rockets and much more. All enjoyed a fun day of discovery day of learning!

The girls varsity lacrosse team controlling the draw circle during a competition vs. the Valley Stream District team. The girls made a dramatic comeback after being down 5 goals in the second half. Persistency paid off with a victory for the Rams!



Congratulations to Autumn Philips, her family and coach Longo on her commitment to Spring Hill College. Autumn will become a student-athlete on the cheerleading team!




The boys junior varsity lacrosse team competing against the Knights of Glen Cove yesterday. Although the outcome was not what we wanted, the effort was there! Keep persisting!



Congrats to Sebastian and Jason for being inducted into the Career and Technical Center Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society for the Culinary Arts and to Eshna for Computer Game Design and Programming. Creativity and innovation made them stand outs in their classes!



Ms. Weinstein’s Spanish class naturally began referencing the Habits of Mind when they finished their speaking activity. They found humor, strived for accuracy, listened with empathy, persisted, and remained open to continuous learning. They are on the path to success!!

Students at the High School enjoying the Habits of Mind post-it activity today. They selected a trait from the posters to remind them of the success indicators. Students now have a tangible strategy on how to Raise the Bar inside and outside the walls of WHHS!
