The West Hempstead School District is proud to announce that West Hempstead Secondary School senior Victoria Guerrier was named as a 2022 Heisman High School Scholarship State Winner.
Guerrier, a three-sport varsity athlete, is one of two winners in New York State. The Heisman High School Scholarship extends the Heisman prestige to the nation’s most esteemed male and female high school seniors by recognizing and rewarding outstanding scholar-athletes who understand that the most important victories not only happen on the field, but in their schools and communities. These remarkable young leaders set the example and make a game-changing difference every day, paving the way to greatness for everyone around them. As a state winner, Guerrier was awarded $1,000.
