School spirit was on full display at West Hempstead Secondary School’s homecoming celebration on Sept. 30.
Although the inclement weather canceled the parade, the school community gathered at West Hempstead Secondary School for a carnival and to watch their Rams varsity football team. The secondary school’s marching band provided music while the cheerleaders helped to promote school spirit during the game. During halftime, the secondary school honored members of the 1973 Rams varsity football team, who won the program’s first Nassau County championship.
Despite the Rams 28-10 loss against Oyster Bay High School, the district would like to thank everyone who came out to show their support.
