The district has partnered with the Written Outloud program this year. Written Outloud is a storytelling program that provides children with a social and creative outlet to work with peers while learning about the fundamentals of storytelling. This program was originally targeted as a seminar at Yale University and now is mentored by publishing professionals. Our students will have the opportunity to work in small groups with a professional over a two-week period through a virtual platform. The group will engage in brainstorming sessions that lead to individual writing missions. The two- week period culminates in a published book.
We are extending this camp program opportunity to our students in grades 4-8. We have nine spots available for our students. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. The program is free for our students.
Attached is the program flyer with registration information and live links with more information about the program.
