Dear Community Members,
I want to address a concerning situation that has come to our attention.
The Nassau County Police Department has informed us of a nationwide school threat circulating on social media platforms. This threat describes a series of escalating incidents, ultimately leading to a scenario where a fire alarm is activated and a shooter targets evacuating individuals.
We understand that this threat has affected multiple states and has recently begun circulating in our region. I want to make sure you know that law enforcement agencies have thoroughly looked into the origin of this threat multiple times and have repeatedly found it to be non-credible.
While we do not believe there is any immediate danger to our schools, we are taking this matter seriously and remaining vigilant. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities.
We will continue working closely with local law enforcement. If you have any concerns or notice any suspicious activity, please don't hesitate to contact school administration or local authorities.
