Kindergartners at Chestnut Street School in West Hempstead explored different jobs and careers on May 17.
West Hempstead High School counselor Jillian Tammany shared several tools and equipment to describe different careers. Ms. Tammany also read a story to students which covered numerous jobs such as a doctor, referee, engineer and a chef.
Kindergartners learned about the importance of following their dreams as Ms. Tammany helped students think about what industries and jobs they might be interested in pursuing when they grow up. Afterward, students illustrated what they hope to become in the future.
